Jewish Amsterdam & the story of Anne Frank

Combine 2 of our popular tours: Jewish Amsterdam and Anne Frank

The Jewish people have been living in Amsterdam since the end of the 15th century. Your private guide will tell you what life was like for those Jewish immigrants and will also show you the lovely neighbourhood where Anne Frank and her family lived. This is where she spent a part of her childhood, before she went into the Secret Annex.During this 4-hour tour you will walk through the so called “Jewish Quarter”, in the old part of Amsterdam. The name refers to the fact that at least 90% of the people that lived there, were of Jewish religion. This tour will give you an impression of the Jewish culture in Amsterdam. Which you will not only see, but will also find in our language! Did you know that the locals call Amsterdam “Mokum”? This is actually the Jiddish word for Safe Haven!

Our tour guide will be happy to accompany you in the language you requested. See our terms and conditions for the languages we can provide.
