Dordrecht

The oldest city

Officially Dordrecht is the oldest ‘city’ of the country. Already in the year 1220, before any other city in The Netherlands, Dordrecht was granted the privilege of city rights. A visit to this medieval trading town will take your group back into the middle ages. In the old town they will get to see highlights such as the court, the town hall, the Augustine Church, the city’s main gate “Groothoofdspoort” and many historical warehouses and the houses of Dordrecht’ patricians.

Our tour guide will be happy to accompany you in the language you requested. See our terms and conditions for the languages we can provide.
